Dr. Eric L. Walker is the Chief Engineer for Test Operations Excellence at NASA Langley Research Center, Langley Representative for the NASA Robotics Alliance Project, and Lead Mentor for the NASA Knights high school robotics team. He has worked at NASA Langley for 25 years in various capacities in aerodynamic vehicle research; wind tunnel test, analysis, and test technique development; and flight vehicle development most notably the Orion Multipurpose Crew Vehicle and corresponding Launch Abort Vehicle. Dr. Walker earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in Aerospace Engineering with concentration in Applied Mathematics. He also holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University—Joint Institute for the Advancement of Flight Sciences and B.S. degrees from Bluefield University with honors in both Mathematics and Computer Science.
